The Memory Remains
A visualization of the story of a person with epilepsy. It identifies the range and journey of emotions of an epileptic, while communicating a personal experience of living with the disorder. Using typeface design as a tool, the project creates metaphorical visual systems that explore and express the layers of emotions that develop over the course of this journey.

The typeface consists of five distinct character styles that each represent a range of emotions from anxiety, fear and confusion to acceptance, endurance and tenacity. A randomization code makes these styles appear one-by-one to create a sense of disorientation and chaos, much like an experience of a seizure.
